The case regarding the extortion of money from a Lviv businessman, which has already received the name "Dollars in the toilet", is gaining new momentum. According to the investigation, a member of the Lviv Regional Council from the "European Solidarity" faction Volodymyr Domanskyi and his accomplice Vitaly Denega, who holds the position of first deputy mayor Yavorov, may be involved in the corruption scheme.
According to the investigation materials, the attackers promised the businessman help in winning the tender, but he refused their services and won the competition on his own. This provoked a reaction from Domansky and Denega, who decided that they should participate in the victory of the entrepreneur, and began to demand a part of the profit. The total amount of extortion amounted to $25,000 and 190,000 hryvnias.
They were detained while receiving the second part of the money, which proved the existence of an organized corruption scheme.
Special attention is drawn in this case to the possible connection between Volodymyr Domanskyi and People's Deputy from "European Solidarity" Oleg Synyutka. Sinyutka, the former head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, is a member of the party's Politrada, as well as a participant in several anti-corruption investigations. Domanskyi is often called a protégé of Synyutka, who still retains significant political and financial influence in the Lviv Region.
This connection may have serious consequences for the image of "European Solidarity", as the party may have questions about the transparency of its internal connections.
The investigation is also paying attention to the income and property of the participants in the case. Volodymyr Domansky declared more than UAH 3 million in income from business activities, UAH 2 million from the sale of real estate, as well as cash in the amount of UAH 740,000. UAH His wife has substantial savings and owns real estate, including a large house and land.

The "Dollars in the toilet" case has already caused a significant public outcry and attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies. It may have serious political consequences for the "European Solidarity" party, in particular regarding its reputation in the Lviv region, where the presence of corruption schemes among the party's representatives may affect its support among voters.
