The Lychakiv District Court of Lviv ended a case of six men who called themselves a "street brother" and demanded money from entrepreneurs in the territory of the Lviv Radio Market. The verdict made the judgment in late June, and paid attention to him the project "Judicial Reporter".
A group of six people - Andriy Salo, Andriy Muranets, Roman Chitalo, Mikhail Rudka, Danilo and Mykola Antoshchaki - in 2020 she intervened in a commercial conflict between two entrepreneurs. One of them borrowed the other $ 158,000, but after the debt was not returned, instead of money appeared unknown who forced the lender to forget about the debt.
The threats grew into physical pressure: the entrepreneur was pushed into the car, taken to the forest, where they were threatened with a gun and battles, promised to bury alive, and also forced to pay 5 thousand hryvnias for each trade pavilion every month. The organizer of the "Withdrawal" spat in the face of the victim and threatened to "tear the kadik".
The leader of the group was a man with a rich criminal biography. In 2008–2017 he spent more than ten years for premeditated murder. In the colony he had the status of "watchman", collected the so -called "general", had ties with the criminal world and maintained "thieves traditions".
Nevertheless, the court acquitted him under the article on the spread of criminal influence, declaring the evidence insufficient. However, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison for extorting and illegal storage of weapons. The other five defendants awarded the court for 5 years of prison for the abduction of a person and extortion, but immediately replaced the punishment for 3 years conditional.
The sentence was influenced by the victim's position, who declared reconciliation with all the accused and confirmed the compensation. He asked the court not to punish the perpetrators with a prison term.
The sentence has not yet entered into force and may be appealed.
