This week, Ukrainians will feel the effects of magnetic storms that can worsen their well -being, especially in weather -dependent people.
The most tangible changes are expected on Sunday, June 9, and Thursday, June 13. These days, the KP geomagnetic activity index will reach 4–6 levels, which is considered an average or moderate storm.
Forecast on June 9-13:
-
June 9-KP-4-5 (average storm)
-
June 10-KP-3 (weak activity)
-
June 11-KP-4 (Moderate Storm)
-
June 12-KP-3 (decrease in activity)
-
June 13-KP-5-6 (possible strengthening)
What is a magnetic storm and what is it dangerous
A magnetic storm occurs as a result of outbreaks in the sun and the ejection of coronal mass. Charged particles, when they enter the earth's atmosphere, cause changes in the magnetic field. On the NOAA scale, the KP level over 5 is already considered potentially harmful to health.
