Almost all drones for the Armed Forces are developed in Ukraine

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov said that almost all drones are developed in Ukraine, with a large contribution of private business, which contributes to the economy.

Recently, the defense procurement agency announced closed competitive bidding through the Prozorro system for the purchase of 20,000 drones worth up to 3 billion hryvnias.

Some of these auctions have already taken place, and about 7,000 drones have been contracted. Klimenkov emphasized that the results were very good both in terms of product quality and price. Another 7,000 drones are being tested and qualified, and more than 1 billion hryvnias have already been used. He added that we are talking about a wide range of drones.

Earlier, on May 30, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed two enemy boats in the temporarily occupied Crimea using Ukrainian Magura V5 maritime attack drones. The Russians took combat aircraft into the sky 32 times and used small arms and 30-mm cannons to destroy the drones. As a result of the strike, two Russian high-speed transport landing craft KS-701 "Tunets" were destroyed.
