Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov reported that almost all drones are developed in Ukraine, with a large contribution from private business, which contributes to the economy.
Recently, the Defense Procurement Agency announced a closed competitive bidding through the Prozorro system for the purchase of 20,000 drones worth up to 3 billion hryvnias.
Part of these tenders have already taken place, and about 7,000 drones have been contracted. Klimenkov emphasized that the results were very good both in terms of product quality and price. Another 7,000 drones are undergoing testing and qualification, with over 1 billion hryvnias already used. He added that this is a wide range of drones.
Earlier, on May 30, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed two enemy boats in the temporarily occupied Crimea using Ukrainian Magura V5 naval strike drones. The Russians scrambled combat aircraft 32 times and used small arms and 30-mm cannons to neutralize the drones. As a result of the strike, two Russian KS-701 “Tunets” high-speed transport and landing boats were destroyed.
