Maksym Krippa commented on the acquisition of the Ukraina hotel for UAH 2.5 billion

"Ola Fine" LLC under the leadership of Maxim Krippa became the owner of the "Ukraine" hotel in Kyiv, winning the privatization auction for UAH 2.5 billion. This event aroused considerable interest among experts and the public, as the hotel is an important object in the history of the capital.

On September 18, as a result of the online auction, the company that will privatize the landmark hotel "Ukraine" in Kyiv was determined. The winner was Maxim Crippa's "Ola Fine" LLC. The investor considers 2.5 billion hryvnias to be a completely justified price and is convinced that right now is the time to invest in Ukraine. Maksym Krippa told Forbes Ukraine about the decision to make a bet and plans for the hotel.

"The rate of 2.5 billion hryvnias is fully justified, considering the importance and value of the hotel. In preparation for the auction, we conducted an analysis and estimated the real value of the asset. I am sure that a square meter in the center of the capital of Ukraine cannot be worth the sums that were offered by other participants. Our offer is a fair price, and I showed by my example that such legendary objects cannot be bought for nothing," commented Maxim Krippa.

He shared when the reconstruction of the "Ukraine" hotel can begin, and also said that in addition to expanding investment assets in real estate, IT, video game development and e-sports remain among his interests.

Maksym Krippa pays special attention to charity: "The most important thing for me today is supporting Ukraine. The charitable organization MK Foundation, founded by me, is focused on the logistical support of the Armed Forces, rescue and medical services. It is entirely a private capital initiative. No donations or fees. So far, the total amount of aid has reached UAH 830 million," the businessman commented.

According to the terms of privatization, the new owner must pay off the hotel's debts to employees, the state and creditors, and undertake not to change the main activity of the facility for five years and not to fire employees for at least the first half of the year.
