Ukrainians are in for a new round of spring weather vagaries. On Tuesday, March 18, the country will get significantly colder, and some regions will even get snow. The temperature will not rise above +6°C, and night frosts will appear again in many cities.
The coldest will be in the western and northern regions, where the temperature at night will drop to -6°. In Kyiv, the night temperature will be -3°, and a slight warming to +4° is expected during the day. In Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk, frosts will reach -6°, and during the day it will only warm up to +3°.
A similar situation will occur in the central regions. For example, in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv, the temperature will drop to -5° at night, and will not exceed +4° during the day.
In the east of the country, cloudy weather will remain, with precipitation in some places. Snow is forecast in Sumy and Poltava, the temperature will fluctuate within -4°…0°. In Kharkiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhia, it will also be cloudy, with periodic snowfalls and rain. The temperature during the day will not exceed +3°C.
In southern regions, such as Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Simferopol, cool but dry weather is expected. The temperature at night will be -1°…-2°, during the day – +4°…+6°.
Forecasters predict that the cold snap will last for several days, after which the temperature will gradually start to rise. By the end of the week, spring warmth may return in some regions, but night frosts may linger for some time.
Ukrainians are advised to dress warmly, as the wind will intensify the feeling of cold.
