Marichka Padalko told how Michael Douglas impressed her

Ukrainian presenter Marichka Padalko shared her impressions of the interview with the famous American actor Michael Douglas, which she recorded during his visit to Ukraine. In her Instagram, Padalko told how exactly this Hollywood star impressed her and why his behavior should become an example for Ukrainian stars and politicians.

Simplicity and modesty

Marichka Padalko noted that conducting an interview with Douglas was a dream come true for her. She found that the actor behaved very modestly and politely, did not make any demands regarding the conditions of filming. "We did not hear any preconditions: no one demanded separate dressing rooms, special cosmetics or specific lighting," the presenter wrote. Padalko was also struck by the lack of inquiries from Douglas or the summit organizers about interview topics.

Stardom in the little things

Padalko emphasized that real stardom is manifested in small things and simplicity. Douglas, despite the opportunity to no longer meet people on the channel, politely communicated with everyone, made friendly acquaintances and responded to personal remarks. "True stardom is in the little things — to say hello to everyone, to repeat out of respect a foreign name that you hear for the first time, to react to personal remarks," the host noted.

The interview is on the verge of breaking down

Padalko also shared that the interview with Douglas may not have happened due to his busy schedule. The actors had a train to Europe, and the shooting could simply not fit into the schedule. "The interview was on the verge of disruption, because Douglas was delayed at the president's office and had a train back in a few hours," the presenter said. Eventually, however, Michael Douglas arrived, and the conversation lasted 16 minutes, which Padalco says left everyone stunned.
