Mariupol after “liberation”: that is left of the legendary “Azovstal”

The network has published new pictures of the Azovstal plant , which was one of the symbols of the heroic resistance of Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol. Photos have released the Ostrov , and they once again demonstrate the scale of the destruction caused by Russian invaders.

“Azovstal”: from the defense fortress to the ruins

Before the full -scale invasion of Azovstal was a powerful metallurgical enterprise and one of the key economic objects of Mariupol. However, in 2022, the plant became the last stronghold of the Ukrainian soldiers , who for more than two months held back numerous attacks by the invaders, protecting the city from complete destruction.

Now Azovstal is just ruins . Photo posted by completely destroyed housings, burned metal structures, concrete mountains and debris .
