People's Deputy Maryana Bezugla spoke about the recent losses of Ukrainian military equipment, including the destruction of a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system in Sumy region and the strike on a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter. According to her, these incidents were possible due to the lack of proper air cover.
In her Facebook post, Bezugla noted that society could have been distracted by the fighting in the Kursk region, leaving the situation in the Dnieper without due attention, where a Russian drone tracked down and destroyed a Ukrainian fighter jet. The MP emphasized that this strike was possible because the plane had no air defense.
“If you missed, while your thoughts were on Kursk, the news about the destruction of a Ukrainian MiG-29 in the Dnieper: no one from the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that there was no air cover again, and it was tracked down by a Russian drone. When the plane landed to refuel and replenish ammunition, the plane was destroyed,” Bezugla writes.
In addition, the deputy drew attention to the loss of the HIMARS MLRS in the Sumy region, noting that Russian forces were able to monitor the vehicle using a drone and adjust strikes without any obstacles.
“The HIMARS in Sumy region was also destroyed. The Russians were driving the machine with a drone and making adjustments without any obstacles for themselves,” she added.
Earlier, a video appeared on social media showing the Russians striking a HIMARS installation. Now this information has been confirmed by a member of parliament.
