Maryana Bezugla, People's Deputy of Ukraine, strongly criticized the commander of the Air Force of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhii Oleshchuk, for his refusal to be actively involved in the preparation for the adoption of the Ukrainian military F-16.
According to Bezugla, the lieutenant general has been ignoring invitations to visit the parliamentary defense committee for more than a year, justifying his absence by the fact that he "has nothing to say."
He says that he "refused to come" to the parliamentary defense committee for more than a year, because "he has nothing to say", and instead sent several officers from the F-16, with whom the issue of the future supply was discussed in a closed meeting.
He says the fighters will strengthen air defense, but no more.
"From what I can tell, unfortunately, the transfer of such planes to Ukraine will not fundamentally change anything. No magical assaults and counterattacks. Forget it. In addition, the infrastructure for them is still not ready, and the attitude of the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the training of pilots cannot stand any criticism. It's as if the partners need it, not us," Bezugla writes.
She also declares that since Oleschuk is not a pilot, but an air defense fighter, "the voice of the pilots is lost, elementary things are not done."
Earlier, Bezugla began criticizing the "old guard of generals" led by Chief Commissar Syrskyi. As she had previously criticized Zaluzhnyi.
