Famous TV presenter Masha Efrosinina first commented on Olga Freimut's words that their acquaintance was superficial, and also that Masha could have once made fun of her Ukrainian language. Efrosinina voiced her position during the show "Adult Girls", which took place in Kyiv.
Efrosinina emphasized that she did not watch the entire interview with Freimut and Ramina Eshakzai, but she was sent some fragments that surprised her:
“I rarely allow myself to discuss anyone in public at all. I think it’s unethical. And even more so, I don’t allow myself to lie. Yes, I think she’s lying.”.
Masha also noted that she has always respected Olga's talent and at one point considered her a future national star. However, she emphasized that they are very different, especially in their views on professional ethics.
The TV presenter categorically denied the accusations of bullying because of the Ukrainian language, voiced by Freimut. On the contrary, Efrosinina assured that it was she who initiated Olga's invitation to the jury of the show "Showmastgowan" in 2012.
“I went to her future husband and persuaded him to put Olya Freimut on the jury. I said that the Ukrainian language should be heard in the Ukrainian show. And it was because of my ultimatum that Ms. Freimut appeared there.”.
Masha also clarified that she was the manager, host, and producer of the show, so she communicated directly with Olga on script and editorial issues:
"That's why everyone knew her name, no one made fun of her. Let's trust the facts.".
After Efrosinina's statements, an active discussion broke out on social networks. Some of Freimut's supporters continue to support her, while others believe that Olga's words could have been an emotional assessment of past events. However, most commentators agree: conflicts between public figures should be resolved not at the level of assumptions, but by operating on specifics.
So far, Freimut has not commented on Efrosinina's public response.
