A mass brawl broke out in the center of Ternopil during a promotional event to distribute free burgers, resulting in injuries to children, local media reported.
According to police, the participants of the event, among whom were many families with children, could not contain their enthusiasm and began to rush to the food en masse. As a result, several children received injuries of varying severity. The injured children were examined by doctors on the spot and, if necessary, taken to the hospital.
The organizer of the event, a local blogger, received two administrative reports from the police. According to law enforcement officers, the man promised not to hold similar events in this format again so as not to put people in danger.
Police are urging organizers of mass food distribution events to plan their events in a safe manner and to take measures to avoid injury to participants.
