The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine discovered and reported on a large-scale special operation aimed at exposing persons who embezzled funds intended for the needs of the country's Armed Forces. According to the latest data, the total amount of abuses is more than 138 million hryvnias.
"A large-scale special operation was conducted to expose the organizers and participants of criminal schemes for embezzlement of budget funds allocated to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The total amount of losses to the state is more than UAH 138 million. The employees of the apartment management units, together with representatives of commercial structures in almost all regions of Ukraine, were involved in the embezzlement of funds."
It is also reported that some employees were caught for negligent military service and illegal enrichment.
"According to the results of the investigative actions, 30 persons were detained and notified of suspicion, 15 of them being members of organized criminal groups. Among the suspects are 3 heads of apartment management departments in the city of Kharkiv, Mykolaiv region and Dnipropetrovsk region, 7 heads of apartment management departments in the cities of Kropyvnytskyi, Chernihiv, Lviv, Prykarpattia, Zhytomyr region, Volyn and Luhansk regions, as well as representatives of commercial structures. emphasized in the OGP.

One of the suspects, the head of the regional KEV, is suspected of illegally acquiring assets worth UAH 11.7 million. It is about commercial property, land plots, other means and things, which the person involved issued to a trusted person.

He enlisted a close relative of his wife as a soldier for one of the units of the Lviv Armed Forces. Later, the soldier became the owner of a residential building and a plot of land in the village of Bryukhovychy, Lviv district, the market value of which is roughly 300,000 dollars. USA.
The relatives of the person involved did not have the income that would allow for the construction of such valuable real estate and carrying out repair work in it. The official was notified of suspicion of illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
