The scale of the offensive of Russian troops in the Kharkiv region: the current situation

According to Lytvynenko, 50,000 occupiers were concentrated on the border. During the offensive of the Russian army in the Kharkiv region, which began last week, more than 30 thousand soldiers were involved. Oleksandr Lytvynenko, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, announced this in an interview with the French newspaper Le Figaro.

According to Lytvynenko, before the start of the offensive, about 50,000 Russian troops were concentrated on this section of the border.

"The military, according to their reports, are ready to fight back. Heavy fighting continues, but the Russians have a numerical advantage," the NSDC secretary emphasized. According to the data of the DeepState resource, data were updated on Monday, according to which the Russians captured three more villages in the north of the Kharkiv region - Morokhovets, Oliynikove and Zelene.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported after midnight that Russian troops are storming the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the north of Kharkiv region at 14 points and focusing on capturing Vovchansk.

On May 13, the General Staff announced that the Russian army had partial success near the village of Lukyantsi. The defense forces have stopped the advance of the invaders and are conducting a counterattack. Cleaning of the northern outskirts of the city of Vovchansk is also underway.
