The Ministry of Health plans to announce a tender for construction work for the new building of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "Okhmatdyt" in the first half of May. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Health Edem Adamanov, reports "Glavkom".
According to the official, the estimated cost of construction work is UAH 396 million. However, this amount may still be adjusted after the project passes state expertise. This concerns the restoration of the hospital's construction infrastructure - excluding costs for medical equipment.
"The estimate only takes into account facades, windows, engineering networks, ventilation - everything necessary for the functioning of the hospital, except for medical equipment," specified Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
In parallel, the Ministry of Health is beginning the process of preserving buildings damaged by shelling. In particular, the following work has been allocated for this work:
-
UAH 4.58 million for the conservation of the third building;
-
868 thousand UAH — for the preservation of the administrative building.
According to Lyashko, the hospital reconstruction project was completed two months ahead of schedule. The exact completion date for the reconstruction has not yet been announced - it will be announced after the procedures are finalized in May.
Adamanov explained that the duration of the work is due to the high level of complexity of the construction (category CC3), as well as the fact that the hospital must continue to operate during all stages of the renovation. The builders must preserve the evacuation exits and minimize noise.
By the end of the year, the Ministry of Health plans to decide on the fate of the surgical building - whether it should be restored or whether it will have to be built from scratch.
