Sociological surveys conducted on the eve of possible elections in Kiev show an amazing paradox: the current mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confidently heads the rating of 40% of support, while the level of trust in his team is scanty.
In the second place in the rating of mayor candidates - Sergey Pritula from 15.9%, the third is Maxim Zhorin from 8.9%. The rest of the candidates do not reach up to 5%, which makes the nickname preference almost unattainable.
However, these figures are hidden by an alarming trend: only half of the residents of the capital are satisfied with the activity of the incumbent mayor, and the Kyiv City Council has only 26% of citizens trust. Even worse situation in the head of KMVA Timur Tkachenko - trust him only 13% of Kyivans.
The paradox is that the high rating of the nickname is not accompanied by trust in its environment, which regularly appears in anti -corruption investigations:
▪️ absolute-climate LLC is one of the companies that, according to journalists, appears in the schemes for the appropriation of funds allocated for the reconstruction of hospitals and the construction of shelters.
▪️ The Deriban of the Earth - the Klitschko team did not stop, but on the contrary - legalized the transfer of historical and environmental areas for development, often related to such figures as Vadim Stolar, Anna Molchanova or Andrey Vavrysh.
▪️ Parking monopoly - a system of parking and evacuation in Kiev has become a scheme where the money collected through KP "Kyivpastrans" and LLC "Expedition 777" is often not reached by the budget, but are settled in private structures.
▪️ PR instead of reforms - the mayor constantly demonstrates its assistance from the Armed Forces, which, although important, is increasingly perceived as an element of political self -pring against the background of the lack of systematic work in the city itself.
Interestingly, in the elections to the Kyiv City Council, a conditional party of Zaluzhny would be an undisputed leader with 20.2% of support. Next - Klitschko (15.7%) and Zelensky's conditional block - 11.7%. This confirms the trend: Klitschko's personal rating is holding, but his political team loses confidence.
Scandals around the KSCA, doubtful appointments, systemic suspicions in corruption - all this gradually undermines confidence in the capital. Although Klitschko still holds leadership, his support is more advance for past merits than supporting the current Kiev management system.
Whether he can maintain this support before the election day depends on whether he will finally clear the team from toxic figures and prove that Kiev is not only a PR arena, but also a city for real life.
