In Zhytomyr region, a 31-year-old resident Berdichev will stand before the court for the deliberate destruction of another's property through arson. According to the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office, the man burned the car of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces through a personal image - and now he is threatened with up to 10 years in prison.
According to the investigation, the accused is a former serviceman who has previously left part of his part. In February 2025, while intoxicated, he approached the car of his acquaintance - a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - with a pre -prepared gasoline. Poured the car and set on fire.
The cause of the arson was publications on social networks that the victim made. It was a familiar suspect, which caused him a strong annoyance and the desire for revenge.
As a result of the actions of the attacker, the BMW X5 car worth 633 thousand UAH was completely burned. From the moment of the incident, the man has been in custody.
The prosecutor's office has already directed an indictment in court. The prosecution is supported by the Berdychiv District Prosecutor's Office.
The crime is qualified under Part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - deliberate destruction of property by arson, punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
