Methadone via Telegram: Police exposed the drug organization from Cherkasy region

The police of Ukraine have stopped the activity of a powerful criminal group from Cherkasy region, which for more than half a year has been spreading methadone in several regions, including in Kiev, Odessa and Cherkasy. This was reported by the National Police in Telegram.

The 33-year-old resident of Cherkasy region managed the drug business. She created a criminal structure of 17 people, each of which played a specific role: from the administration of Telegram channels and receiving orders to logistics, packing and bookmarking. All actions were coordinated centrally, and participants received a "salary" from the proceeds.

The drugs were purchased in large parties-2-3 kg, then packaged for small doses and sold through specially created Telegram channels. The calculations were made in cash - on cards, decorated on false persons, or cryptocurrency wallets. The amount of monthly profit reached one million hryvnias. Part of the money went to salaries, cars and new deliveries, the rest - was "washed" online.

All 17 participants, including the organizer, received suspicions. According to the article, which provides for the organization and participation in a drug business, they are threatened with up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The case is conducted within the framework of criminal proceedings, which already has numerous evidence of the systemic and long -term activity of the group. It is known that drugs were actively sold in Kyiv, Cherkasy and Odessa regions, which indicates the interregional scale of the scheme.
