Despite the fact that Bakhmut has been occupied by Russian troops for a long time, his chief - Alexei Reva - continued to receive solid wages and increase financial assets. His declaration last year opens a rather typical scenario for Ukrainian realities - when nothing is on the official and everything else is on his wife.
Judging by the declaration, the rova itself has almost nothing. No dwelling, land, cars - only two firearms: Mossberg Maverick 88 and Remington carbine. But the ownership of his wife is a whole set of real estate: a dwelling house, a garage and three land plots in Bakhmut herself. In addition, it rents another house and a plot in the village of Obukhivka in Dnipropetrovsk.
Alexei Reva's income for 2024 amounted to UAH 1,454 615, which is even more than 100 thousand more than a year earlier. 204 253 hryvnia pensions are added to this. The official accounts of the official - over one million hryvnias.
However, the main financial power of the family is the wife. During the year, she declared 180 thousand hryvnias of salaries at the Private Company "Demi", 251 439 hryvnias of pension and almost UAH 712 thousand in the form of bank interest. In her accounts - 7.9 million hryvnias. Another 680 thousand hryvnias, $ 15 thousand and 5 thousand euros are in cash.
This set of property and income, despite all formal legality, looks quite eloquent. In the conditions of war and occupation of the city, its leader continues to live a financially carefree life. Although there are no direct violations in the declaration, the way of distributing assets between spouses has long become a symbol of systemic opacity in Ukrainian public policy.
The situation again reminds not only of declaration, but also a true verification of the origin of the funds of officials and members of their families - especially in times of war, when society pays an ultra -high price for survival.
