The Russian invaders have concentrated their attacks on the energy infrastructure of the frontline regions. The National Telethon received information from Deputy Minister of Energy Yaroslav Demchenkov that there were no mass attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities this winter season.
"This heating season, we are obviously observing the absence of mass shelling of energy infrastructure. The enemy has focused mainly on frontline areas," he stressed. Demchenkov noted that in frontline areas, the enemy is directing its efforts to destroy energy generation and distribution facilities, as well as hitting coal mines and the gas supply system.
The Deputy Minister also reported on the work being carried out to assess the consequences of enemy attacks and economic losses, in particular for energy companies. The Ministry of Energy has created a special working group to quickly meet the energy needs of companies.
Demchenkov also emphasized the increased readiness to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks on energy facilities, pointing to the experience gained from the massive Russian strikes last heating season.
