Ministry of Energy: The situation in Ukraine's energy system remains complex, but balanced

As of September 13, 2024, the situation in the Ukrainian energy system remains quite complex, but, according to representatives of the Ministry of Energy, it is controlled and balanced. Particular difficulties are observed in border regions, where Russian attacks on critical infrastructure have led to power outages.

The situation in the Ukrainian energy system remains quite complex, but balanced and controlled. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Energy Yuriy Sheiko during a telethon.

Today, as of this morning, the situation in the system is balanced, controlled, but remains quite complicated. We do not expect any restrictions today, nor are they planned for the morning. We are working in a balanced mode throughout the territory of Ukraine. However, I would like to note that the damage that Russia caused us with its shelling, attacks on the energy system of Ukraine, has complicated the operation of our energy system

– said Sheiko.

According to him, the worst situation remains in the border regions: Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Sumy.

Over the past 24 hours, civilian energy infrastructure in six regions of Ukraine has come under enemy fire. In particular, in Ivano-Frankivsk region, an industrial infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of an attack by enemy UAVs. No power outages are planned in Ukraine today, September 13.

On September 12, no outages were expected. However, due to cloudy weather, which reduced the energy efficiency of solar power plants, stabilization power outages were introduced in Kyiv and 16 regions of Ukraine from 1:00 p.m. to midnight.
