Former Deputy Prime Minister and current Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov uses cars that are not included in his official declarations. This is evidenced by the materials of the pre-trial investigation, which were published by prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, writes Glavkom.
According to the investigation, in April 2025, surveillance cameras recorded Chernyshov driving a 2016 Mercedes Benz S 500, which belongs to the private enterprise "Savmotors" from Lutsk. The car was registered in October 2023.
On April 19–20, the Mercedes S 500 was accompanied by a Volkswagen Caravelle. In addition, according to the pre-trial investigation body, the official uses another Mercedes car.
The ruling of the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court states:
«Oleksiy Chernyshov hides the vehicles that he and his wife actually use, which indicates the suspect's ability to secretly move around the territory of Ukraine and cross the state border.».
In his electronic declaration for 2025, Chernyshov listed only a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (2020 model), which is registered to his wife Svitlana Chernyshova. This car was seized on June 25, 2025, as part of criminal proceedings.
In 2023, the official declared a Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography (2018), which he sold last year for UAH 3.39 million.
Oleksiy Chernyshov is charged with abuse of office and bribery in a case involving the illegal transfer of land to a developer. He himself appeared before the NABU, where he received a notice of suspicion.
The VAKS assigned him a record bail of UAH 120 million. This amount was paid in installments by his wife, a company from Dnipro that has only existed for a few months, and a representative of a large development group.
