The Ministry has declared a decrease in egg prices

Chicken eggs in Ukraine began to be cheaper after rapid growth in February-March. Over the past two weeks, the price per ten eggs C1 have decreased by 5.2% - from UAH 60.85 to 57.68 UAH. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval has informed about it.

According to the minister, there is no egg deficit in the domestic market - the supply is fully in line with demand. Reducing prices is explained by seasonal factors and reducing production costs.

“The market situation is stabilized. Production is increasing, demand remains controlled, and the cost of feed and energy has begun to decline - it allows farmers to optimize prices, ”Koval said.

Cheaper

Among the main reasons:

  • seasonal decrease in demand after February peak;

  • Cost stabilization: cheaper feed, energy and transportation;

  • increase in production volumes.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in March 2025, 962 million chicken eggs were produced in Ukraine - this is a significant growth compared to January (784 million) and February (787 million).

How did prices change:

  • March 28, 2025 - UAH 60.85 per ten;

  • April 4, 2025 - UAH 60.44 (–0.7%);

  • April 11, 2025 - UAH 57.68 (–4.6%).

Agrarians expect prices to remain stable until the end of April. However, they warn that in the case of an increase in logistics or new infrastructure attacks, the price can go up again.
