Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Alexei Chernyshov declared more than 176 million hryvnias, becoming the most wealthy official of the current Cabinet of Ministers. His declaration also lists $ 490 thousand in cash, five apartments, as well as a private collection of elite watches, works of art and rare books.
It became known from the Declaration for 2024, which Chernyshov published in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
The documents state that the minister owns five apartments, most of which are in the prestigious areas of Kiev. Other real estate objects in the region are also owned or used.
In addition to 176 million hryvnias declared assets, Chernyshov's bank accounts saves more than UAH 5 million, as well as $ 490,000 in cash.
The section on valuable movable property lists a collection of premium watches, painting works and rare books, some of which are of cultural value. The exact number of exhibits in the collection is not disclosed.
Who is Alexei Chernyshov
Alexei Chernyshov was appointed Minister of National Unity in the spring of 2024. Before that, he headed the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, and even earlier - was the Minister of Community and Territories Development.
His name repeatedly appeared in the lists of the most affinity of the public sector topless, in particular while working in Naftogaz.
Chernyshov's declaration provoked discussions on the network, because against the background of general savings of government expenditures and discussions of tax policy, the financial status of individual officials again was in the spotlight.
