Defense Minister Rustem Umerov wants to unite procurement agencies

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced significant changes in the structure of the Ministry of Defense. As part of the reform, it is planned to merge two key procurement agencies — the Defense Procurement Agency (APOZ) and the State Rear Operator (DOT) — into a single enterprise.

The minister said that his goal is to generally unite all agencies of the Ministry of Defense into "some Ukrainian Defense Forces Agency, where there will be procurement, logistics, contracts, measurements, efficiency."

According to him, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenkov will be responsible for selecting the head of the joint agency.

It will be recalled that earlier the mass media wrote that "management chaos" was taking place in Umerov's Ministry, which could lead to the defeat of Ukraine.
