Until the end of the winter period, Ukrainians can expect changeable weather, reports the forecaster of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Nataliya Ptukha. According to her, the weather will be characterized by alternating frosts and warm temperatures, particularly in the central and southern regions of the country.
She explained that lately frequent temperature fluctuations have been observed in Ukraine, in particular from +5 to -5 degrees, without stable frosts and snow cover. According to her, this trend is the norm of the last decade.
"The frost will last only for 2-3 days, and then the temperature will rise to pluses again," Ptukha said.
Warming is expected from January 6, especially in the south and west of the country, where the temperature may rise to +5...+9 degrees. During this period, small precipitation is possible in the form of sleet, which will gradually turn into rain. During the day, the temperature will rise above zero, up to +4 degrees in most of the territory of Ukraine.
The real winter with frost and snow cover will remain only in the Carpathians, where at the beginning of the week the temperature will be within the range of -6...-11 degrees, although even here on January 6, the frost is expected to ease to 0...-5 degrees.
Nataliya Ptukha noted that such fluctuating weather is typical for the winter period in Ukraine recently, but if significant changes are predicted, citizens will be notified additionally.
We will remind you that in the coming days, the synoptic conditions will develop in such a way that warm and humid air of Mediterranean origin will begin to actively enter the territory of our country.
