The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that from September 2025, basic combined military training for students will start in educational institutions. This course will be held in two stages: theoretical and practical.
The theoretical course will involve 90 academic hours, which students will pass in educational institutions, where they will receive knowledge about the basics of military affairs and theoretical aspects of service.
The practical course will last 210 academic hours and will be held in training units and centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is important that the practical course will be mandatory only for men.
After successful completion of the course, students will take a military oath, receive a certificate and a military accounting specialty. Thus, this course will be an important step in preparing young people to serve in the army and will contribute to strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
