The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully won a lawsuit in the amount of over 1.5 billion hryvnias against the Lviv Arsenal company. This company received funding, but did not complete the delivery of 100,000 mortar mines for the Armed Forces.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, on January 24, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal confirmed the decision of the Commercial Court of Kyiv to collect from Lviv Arsenal more than 1.3 billion hryvnias in advance payments, more than 90 million hryvnias in penalties and more than 96 million hryvnias in fines for non-fulfillment of the agreement.
This decision is legal and subject to mandatory execution. In addition, there is a lawsuit in the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv regarding the additional recovery of 163 million hryvnias from Lviv Arsenal under the same contract.
It is also reported that the accounts and other property of "Lviv Arsenal" belonging to the company were seized. It is noted that this case may have an international aspect, as a possible reason may be the activities of an international organized criminal group, which embezzled the funds of Ukraine and failed to fulfill its obligations.
The day before, an investigation into a major scam in Great Britain was made public, in which it is claimed that a group of Ukrainian officials and businessmen embezzled funds intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that among the possible organizers of this fraud may be an international criminal group that operated in Ukraine, the Czech Republic and the USA.
