The Ministry of Natural Resources is looking for 4 billion euros for waste disposal projects in different parts of Ukraine

The Ministry of Environmental Protection has identified more than 200 promising projects for the treatment of various types of waste throughout the country. The only remaining issue is to find 160 billion UAH (4 billion euros) for the implementation of these plans.

Currently, there are 17 waste paper recycling enterprises, 35 plastic recycling enterprises, and another 27 engaged in broken glass. At the same time, companies are only 40% loaded, and raw materials are imported even from other countries.

Of course, the Ministry of Environment did a tremendous job, analyzing the problems of each region and studying the amount of waste generation and its composition. But now the most important thing is that the project of construction of waste processing plants does not turn into a project of mass importation of garbage from Europe to Ukraine.

Currently, it is known that the plan includes several priority projects. Construction of two new waste processing plants is planned in the Kyiv region. 5 plants will be built in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 4 plants in Poltava region, 7 plants in Odesa region. Transcarpathia, Sumy and Kharkiv regions are also next in line.
