The non -factional People's Deputy of Ukraine Oles Long reported the completion of his political activity and the application for the drafting of parliamentary powers. He wrote about it on his Facebook page.
“I go from politics. He wrote a statement about the termination of the powers of the People's Deputy, ”he said, without specifying the reasons for such a decision.
Oles Long was elected to the Verkhovna Rada on a majority system. After the Parliament has officially voted for the termination of its powers, the total number of people's deputies in the Verkhovna Rada will decrease to 398.
Long known for his long history in Ukrainian politics: he was a deputy of the Kyiv City Council, and later a few convocations of parliament. His name was mentioned from time to time in the context of political and financial scandals, but no court decisions were made.
It is unknown whether Oles is planning to stay in the public field or go to other areas of activity.
