The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine started an official inspection after the public statement of the veteran and employee of the department, Yevhen Shybalov, about systematic insults by the management. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
The agency stressed that it does not allow behavior that degrades the honor and dignity of a person, regardless of their status or social position.
"No circumstances can justify humiliating veterans or other persons," the official statement reads.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has prepared documents for the dismissal of Ruslana Velychko-Trifonyuk from the post of Deputy Minister for European Integration. The decision on her dismissal was submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The public statements of the well-known volunteer and ex-military Yevhen Shibalov, who was captured by Russia, became the reason for the official inspection. He said that he was resigning from the Ministry of Veterans because of insulting remarks and humiliation from the management.
"In less than half a year, I found out a lot of interesting things about myself: that I'm a "do#ob#on", "I don't do anything", "I'm busy with some hu##, "I consider myself an expert", "instead of work, I only do PR and sell myself" (to whom?! It turns out that Uber...). And I also have a 'soft h#y,'" Shibalov wrote in his publication.
Shibalov's statement caused a wide resonance in society, in particular among veterans and volunteers. Representatives of the veteran community called for a more transparent investigation of the incident and strengthening of standards of ethical behavior in government agencies.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs said that the results of the official inspection will be made public. At the same time, further personnel decisions remain with the Cabinet of Ministers.
We will remind you that the government plans to start providing 1,500 hryvnias to participants in hostilities and persons with disabilities as a result of the war for sports. The application can be submitted through "Diya".
