Mobilization in Ukraine: another restriction for men will remain in the draft law

In the new draft law on mobilization, they decided to leave restrictions on obtaining consular services for men abroad. Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the NSDC, reported this.

According to him, the committee completed consideration of more than 4,269 amendments to the draft law on mobilization. At the moment, questions regarding incentives for conscription and restrictions on those who evade military registration remain open.

The committee approved two restrictions for men who evade military registration:

  1. Restrictions on the right to drive a car.
  2. Obtaining consular services for men abroad.

According to the new rules, a man must first present military documents to receive services at Ukrainian consular institutions. In the absence of such documents, he must register militarily at diplomatic institutions at the place of consular registration, and only after that he will be entitled to receive services. However, it is worth noting that diplomatic institutions do not have the right to issue summonses, but only register military records.
