Mobilization in Ukraine in August 2025: Who is called and where will serve

From August 7, 2025, martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days were officially extended in Ukraine. This decision was made to strengthen the state's defense capability in the face of continuing aggression by Russia.

The mobilization is carried out in order to complete the defense forces - the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the SPSU and other military formations. Within the framework of mobilization, conscripts, reservists are called, as well as accepted for contract service.

Who is subject to mobilization in August

The order of mobilization in August 2025 remains unchanged. Under the call fall:

  • Men who are suitable for health and without deferral;

  • reservists who do not have contraindications to the service;

  • Citizens who were liberated from the army through lustration - except for banning positions;

  • persons with criminal record for misconduct (unless they are associated with a state -owned betrayal or threat of national security);

  • some convicted for serious crimes - by decision of the General Staff or special services;

  • those who were convicted with a probationary term but not for murder, corruption or crime against the state;

  • Suspects or accused who have come out of custody-they should appear in the shopping center within 48 hours.

Where are it sent after mobilization

After passing the medical commission and determining the degree of suitability of the mobilized, they are sent to those parts where there is a lack of personnel. It can be:

  • combat units;

  • training centers and institutions;

  • military academies and colleges;

  • other formations provided by law;

  • special forces in the structure of law enforcement agencies.

The place of service depends on the current needs of the Armed Forces and the mobilized profile.
