The “Reserve+” application, which has already become a tool for digital interaction between citizens and the Ministry of Defense, will soon receive a significant update. It is planned to launch 35 new types of deferments from mobilization by the end of 2024. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development Kateryna Chernogorenko.
According to her, two new options will appear in “Reserve+” in the near future:
-
deferment for people with temporary unfitness for service (for a period of 6 to 12 months);
-
deferral for parents with a child under 18 years of age if one of the spouses is already serving in the military.
It is worth noting that the application recently launched a function for obtaining a deferral for people with disabilities who do not have a pension certificate.
“We are gradually gaining momentum to launch deferrals systematically. This is a difficult process: we need to integrate data from different registers, synchronize interaction between ministries, and work out the logic of confirming each type of deferral. But we are moving forward,” Chernogorenko noted.
According to her, the goal is to fully digitize the procedure: no queues at the CCC, no collecting paper certificates and waiting in front of closed offices. In the future, all types of deferrals provided for by law should be available online - quickly, conveniently and transparently.
Also, by the end of the year, it is planned to launch the reform of VLK (military medical commissions) and introduce new services — in particular, surveys and exercises that will be available within "Reserve+".
