On September 17, information appeared on the Prozorro portal about the purchase of 317,240 m² of anti-drone nets worth UAH 6.3 million. The customer was the Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Kherson Regional State Administration, headed by Yevhen Pisotsky. This is reported by the MOST publication.
The Kherson OVA has already boasted that a third of the nets have already been stretched — this is positioned as a serious contribution to protecting the region from enemy drones.
But the main intrigue of the story is the supplier. She was Nataliya Borshchyvych, a Lutsk entrepreneur who only registered as an individual entrepreneur in July. Immediately after starting her business, the woman received a multi-million contract for defense goods.
To transport the nets, she purchased a ZIL-1991 truck, which has already become the subject of jokes on social media — they say, "retro technology against drones."
Journalists are paying attention to Borshchevich's past. Before starting her business, she was involved in explicit content online and also had criminal proceedings.
The entrepreneur herself explains that she "found out about the nets by accident," and calls all the suspicions of law enforcement officers a misunderstanding.
