On Wednesday, December 19, the weather in Ukraine showed an unexpected warming for December. According to forecasters, precipitation will remain only in the eastern and northeastern regions of the country, while the rest of the country will enjoy warmth and sunny spells. The temperature will remain above zero in most areas.
Weather in the regions
The capital is expected to be slightly cloudy today, the temperature will range from +1° at night to +6° during the day. Western regions, in particular Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi, will also be in the grip of relative heat: daytime temperatures will rise to +9°...+10°, and night temperatures will not drop below +1°.
The southern regions will delight with the highest indicators: in Odesa and Kherson, daytime temperatures will reach +10°...+11°, and night temperatures will remain at +1°...+5°. In Crimea, the weather is also favorable - in Simferopol during the day it is forecast to reach +11°.
In the north and in the center of the country, the synoptic situation is stable. In Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Kropyvnytskyi, the daytime temperature will be +5°...+8°, with slight cloudiness.
In the eastern and northeastern regions, including Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kramatorsk, the situation is a bit more complicated. The probability of wet snow remains here, and the daytime temperature will range from +1° to +4°.
Forecasters urge residents of the east and northeast to be careful on the roads due to possible ice. In the rest of the regions, you can enjoy pleasant walks and the sun, which is rare for December.
Such weather will be a short break in the December winter, but Ukrainians should not forget that real frosts can return at any moment.
