Over the past few days, Monobank, one of the leading online banks in Ukraine, has been hit by a serious cyberattack. Monobank owner and co-founder Oleg Horohovsky reported that in just three days, the bank's services received more than 7.5 billion requests, significantly complicating the system's operation.
Amazon Web Services drew attention to the cyberattack, which began on Friday, August 16.
On the third day of the cyberattack, according to Horokhovsky, Ukrainian special services offered assistance in repelling it.
“AWS (Amazon Web Services) employees joined the case. For them, a cyberattack of this scale is also unusual. In addition, our special services offered us help. The situation is under control, but the scale is impressive,” the co-founder of monobank noted.
