Monobank suffered a large-scale DDOS attack: 7.5 billion requests in three days

Over the past few days, Monobank, one of the leading online banks in Ukraine, has suffered a serious cyber attack. The owner and co-founder of Monobank, Oleg Horohovskyi, said that in just three days, more than 7.5 billion requests were received to the bank's services, which significantly complicated the operation of the system.

Amazon Web Services drew attention to the cyber attack that began on Friday, August 16.

On the third day of the cyber attack, according to Horohovskyi, Ukrainian special services offered help in repelling it.

"AWS (Amazon Web Services) employees joined the case. A cyberattack of this scale is also unusual for them. In addition, our special services offered us help. The situation is under control, but the scale is impressive," said the co-founder of monobank.
