The Ministry of Health beats: in five regions of Ukraine the SARS epidemic threatens quarantine

Ukraine has a significant increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (SARS). Over the past week, more than 171 thousand people have turned to doctors with symptoms of the disease, of which 104 thousand were children.

In 5 oblasts, due to the increase in the incidence of SARS, the epidporous was recorded: in Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Khmelnitsky and Chernivtsi regions. In these areas or individual settlements of the region, by decision of the regional commission of TEB and NA, enhanced anti -epidemic measures, the so -called "local quarantine" can be applied. In particular, it is about distance learning in individual classes in schools, educational institutions, limiting the number of visitors in institutions and other anti -epidemic measures

- reported in the Ministry of Health.

It is reported that in the last week in Ukraine on SARS, influenza and Covid-19 have become ill with 171 068 people, of which 104 843 were children.

"This is 13% more than a week earlier, but so many illnesses are inherent in the middle of the epidemic and does not exceed the epidporosis designed for Ukraine for 2024/2025," the Ministry of Health reports.

At the same time, as it is noted, in the last week only 3% of sick due to complications of SARS required hospitalization. Namely - 4 687 patients, of whom 2 912 are children.

Currently, the rise in SARS is observed due to the circulation of influenza viruses in 22 regions of the country. Given the weekly monitoring data, the influenza virus will prevail over a coronavirus infection by April. Since the beginning of circulation of influenza viruses in the country - from January - 15 fatal cases have been registered due to complications

- indicated at the Ministry of Health.

According to the Ministry of Health, from the beginning of the epidemic from September 30 to February 9 at SARS, influenza and Covid-19 have already had 2 262 760 people in the country. This is 22.8% less than the same epidemic period of 2023-2024. During this time, 17 380 cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed, of which 78 cases are lethal.

In several regions of Ukraine, they have already announced the transition of educational institutions to distance learning. For example, in the Kirovograd, Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Odessa regions, quarantine was introduced somewhere.

Near Kiev, the influenza and SARS incidence increased in the Brovar community. According to Brovarsky Mayor Igor Sapozhko, the Quarantine was closed by the Trebukhiv Lyceum, where the students switched to distance learning until February 14. And in six other community lyceums, individual classes are closed - 48 in total.
