The minister emphasized that such a decision was caused, in particular, by a large number of complaints about bribery during medical examinations.
"Disgraceful cases where doctors intentionally give a wrong diagnosis or demand a bribe for a correct one must stop. Each manipulation must receive a proper evaluation by law enforcement agencies"
In particular, Lyashko named the main ones: non-compliance with the electronic queue, lack of basic conditions for comfortable passage of the VLK, non-optimized routes.
"We start with these things. This is elementary respect for people. In order to speed up the passage of the VKL and make it more convenient, last year we introduced a separate package within the Medical Guarantee Program, which allows conscripts to undergo a medical examination in a civilian medical institution with clearly defined deadlines. However, until now, part of the VLK works on the basis of procurement centers, not civilian medical facilities," Viktor Lyashko explained.
He noted that other things are not left out: the corruption component, such as demanding bribes for taking into account all existing diseases and conditions during medical examinations, schemes for illegally transporting men of draft age across the state border, or making decisions on granting postponement of the draft based on condition health, a formal approach to the passing of VLC by conscripts, negligence of doctors, problems with contesting conclusions.
"The list can be continued. There are many questions. The Ministry of Health does not have direct leverage over everyone, but from our side, we will do our best to ensure that everyone without exception works in the legal field. For this, we cooperate with law enforcement officers. For this purpose, we are conducting a dialogue with the military administrations. Disgraceful cases where doctors deliberately indicate the wrong diagnosis or demand a bribe for a correct one must stop. Each manipulation must receive a proper assessment of law enforcement agencies. And we are working on this together!", Viktor Lyashko emphasized.
He asked the citizens to be proactive and report the violations they face. This will help to better understand what and where there are problems, and therefore to react accordingly. As for VLK in civilian medical institutions, you can contact by phone: 0 800 60 20 19.
