The Ministry of Health reported new outbreaks of acute intestinal infections in Zaporizhzhya, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions. The increase in the number of cases has been recorded over the last days, which is concerned in the Ministry of Health.
Acute intestinal infections can be transmitted in different ways: through poor water or food, while bathing in contaminated reservoirs, as well as through contact with dirty hands or household items. The highest risk zone is children, the elderly and those who have weakened immunity.
The MoH calls to follow the basic rules of hygiene, in particular:
-
Wash hands with soap before eating and after the toilet,
-
not to use products of dubious origin,
-
Avoid bathing in unverified reservoirs.
If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or fever occur, you should consult your doctor immediately. The department emphasizes that self -medication can lead to complications.
The Ministry of Health continues to monitor the epidemiological situation and asks citizens to be especially careful in the summer season, when the risk of intestinal infections is traditionally increasing.
