In Gulyaipol, Zaporizhzhia region, the memorial museum-house of the Nestor Makhn family burned down as a result of night shelling by Russian troops. This cultural object was of great importance for the history and heritage of the Ukrainian people, because it is dedicated to the outstanding leader of the anarchist movement of the beginning of the 20th century.

The building caught fire due to the impact of the projectile and burned to the ground. Homesteads of the civilian population, farm buildings, and personal property of citizens were also destroyed
On August 23, according to the police, the Russians hit the front-line settlements of the Pologiv and Vasyliv districts with aviation, rocket launchers, tanks, artillery, and used unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the drone attack, an infrastructure object and several houses were damaged in the village of Bilenke. Civilians were not injured during the shelling.
Criminal proceedings have been opened within the limits of Part 1 of Art. 438 (Violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
