The United States demands an end to attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure. Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, commented on this information, expressing concern about the possible impact of these requirements on the security and interests of Ukraine.
"After two years of full-scale war, no one will dictate to Ukraine the conditions for conducting this war," Podolyak emphasized.
At the same time, he emphasized that while Russia is striking Ukraine's critical infrastructure with genocidal intentions, Ukraine is destroying the "infrastructure of war" on the territory of the Russian Federation.
"Within international law, Ukraine can "degrease" Russian instruments of war. Fuel is the main tool of warfare. Ukraine will destroy the fuel infrastructure," explained the adviser to the head of the President's Office.
Earlier, the Financial Times, citing sources, wrote that the US authorities called on Ukraine to stop attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure, warning that drone strikes on refineries could raise global oil prices and provoke retaliation.
We will remind, according to The Insider publication, since the beginning of 2024, drones have attacked 13 oil refineries in nine regions of the Russian Federation 15 times.
