The United States is demanding an end to attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure. This information was commented on by Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, expressing concern about the possible impact of these demands on the security and interests of Ukraine.
“After two years of full-scale war, no one will dictate to Ukraine the terms of waging this war,” Podoliak emphasized.
At the same time, he emphasized that while Russia is striking Ukraine's critical infrastructure with genocidal intent, Ukraine is destroying the "infrastructure of war" on Russian territory.
“Within the framework of international law, Ukraine can “degrease” Russian instruments of warfare. Fuel is the main instrument of warfare. Ukraine will destroy the fuel infrastructure,” explained the advisor to the head of the President’s Office.
Earlier, the Financial Times, citing sources, wrote that the US authorities called on Ukraine to stop attacks on Russian oil infrastructure, warning that drone strikes on refineries could raise world oil prices and provoke retaliation.
Recall that, according to The Insider, since the beginning of 2024, drones have attacked 13 oil refineries in nine regions of the Russian Federation 15 times.
