Mykola Udyansky was appointed Honorary Consul of Romania in the city of Kharkiv.
On behalf of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, the diplomats were greeted by the deputy head of the HOVA, Yevhen Ivanov, at the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Romania in Kharkiv. The event was also attended by Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Aleksandra Viktor Mikula, Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov and diplomats. This is already the 19th honorary consulate in Kharkiv.
"Before the beginning of the February invasion, Kharkiv Oblast had productive trade and economic relations with Romania. Unfortunately, the war made its adjustments. But the opening of the honorary consulate is an important event for the city and the region. Fruitful cooperation will make it possible to develop Kharkiv Oblast and bring our victory over the invaders closer," said Yevhen Ivanov.
During his speech, Honorary Consul Mykola Udyanskyi announced the transfer of emergency vehicles and generators to the needs of the Kharkiv region.
"I am proud to hold this position. Our goal is not only to fulfill official duties, but also to comprehensively help Kharkiv Oblast. The region will soon receive about 100 generators and 20 ambulances," said Mykola Udyanskyi.
Certificate. Before the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2021, entrepreneurs from the Kharkiv region exported almost $35.5 million worth of products to Romania. And the import deliveries of the same year amounted to 14.5 million dollars.
