The city of Mykolaiv was targeted by the occupiers, who carried out a strike with Iskander-M missiles. According to preliminary data, two missiles were launched towards the city, causing destruction and panic among the local population.
Today, Russian occupiers fired missiles at the city of Mykolaiv. This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv OAV, Vitaly Kim, on his official Telegram channel.
“There was an arrival over Mykolaiv. From the place (from which they struck, — ed.) over Odessa. And the second launch is the same. On Forgiveness Sunday, should we forgive (the Russians, — ed.) for shelling us with ballistic missiles?” the official wrote.
The city was previously hit by Iskander-M missiles, which the Russian occupiers launched from the direction of Yevpatoria (annexed Crimea). Vitaly Kim clarified that at the launch site, the Russian Armed Forces have two installations with which they strike at the territory of Ukraine controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Local Telegram channels published the first photos from the scene of the incident.
One of them shows a cloud of white-gray smoke rising over the city, which occurs after the arrival of ballistic missiles.
Information about victims, injured and destruction in the city is still being clarified. As of 14:31, local authorities reported two injured. Doctors assess their condition as moderate.
As a reminder, on March 15, the Russian Armed Forces launched two missile strikes on Odessa. The Southern Defense Forces reported that the occupiers launched Iskander missiles at the city. The missile attack killed 20 people and injured 73 others.
After the OVA clarified the data on the casualties after the Russian strikes on Odessa, the shelling of the city was called the largest terrorist attack by the Russian occupiers. The OK “South” added that the number of wounded could increase, as people recover from shock and seek help.
