The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has completed a pre-trial investigation into MP Mykola Tyshchenko, who is accused of unlawful actions against a participant in hostilities in the Dnipro River. The incident occurred on June 20, 2024 and involved the use of physical force.
This was reported by the press services of the State Bureau of Investigation and the UCP.
According to the investigation, a group of individuals, at the direction of Tyshchenko, illegally deprived the veteran of his liberty, using physical force and special means. The victim was held for a certain time, causing him bodily harm and physical suffering.
The case was classified as illegal deprivation of liberty committed by a group of persons in a prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The indictment against Tyshchenko has been sent to court. The MP himself is under 24-hour house arrest and wearing an electronic bracelet.
The Attorney General's Office reported that one of the accomplices in the crime has already received a court decision, and an indictment against the other is pending.
The investigation established that the actions of Tyshchenko and his accomplices were planned in advance. The veteran was deprived of his liberty without legal grounds and was also subjected to physical suffering, which is a violation of the law.
The court must decide the future fate of Mykola Tyshchenko. If proven guilty, the People's Deputy faces criminal liability in accordance with Ukrainian law.
We remind you that NABU detectives are investigating the case of alleged enrichment of People's Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko in the amount of over 30 million UAH and false declaration.
