The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has completed a pre-trial investigation into People's Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko, who is accused of illegal actions against a participant in the hostilities in Dnipro. The incident occurred on June 20, 2024 and was accompanied by the use of physical force.
This was reported by the press services of the DBR and OGP.
According to the investigation, a group of persons, on the instructions of Tyshchenko, illegally deprived the veteran of his freedom, using physical force and special means. The victim was detained for a certain time, inflicting bodily injuries and physical suffering on him.
The case was classified as an illegal deprivation of liberty committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The indictment against Tyshchenko has been sent to court. The People's Deputy himself is under 24-hour house arrest wearing an electronic bracelet.
The Prosecutor General's Office reported that one of the accomplices in the crime has already received a court decision, and the indictment against the other is pending.
The investigation established that the actions of Tyshchenko and his accomplices were planned in advance. The veteran was deprived of his freedom without legal grounds, and also caused him physical suffering, which is a violation of the law.
The court must decide the further fate of Mykola Tyshchenko. If the guilt is proven, the people's deputy faces criminal liability in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
As a reminder, NABU detectives are investigating the case of alleged enrichment of People's Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko in the amount of over UAH 30 million and unreliable declaration.
