The customs officer from Mariupol lives in Kiev, and his money in Odessa: what is not so much with Chikhin's declaration

The head of the Kyiv Customs Department Valery Chikhin declared significant cash savings and real estate, designed for his new wife, Liu Khomenko. According to the Declaration for 2024, Chikhin has $ 9,000 in cash, while his wife - $ 123,000. However, no real estate object is registered directly with Chikhin; All property is issued on his wife.

Leah Khomenko owns or uses a number of real estate objects in Odessa and Odessa region, in particular:

  • 33 sq.m apartment, purchased in October 2023 for 466 thousand UAH;

  • a machine gun with an area of 14 sq.m;

  • non -residential premises of different areas;

  • apartment in Odessa with an area of 48 sq.m;

  • three apartments of 20 sq.m in the vanguard of Odessa region;

  • commercial premises and pantry of 5 sq.m.

Some of these objects are issued under a loan agreement or belongs to third parties, including a foreign citizen and a citizen of Ukraine, probably a relative of Chikhin.

The family has only one car - the Mazda 6 2017 release, which is owned by Alexei Khomenko, probably brother Lea. This may indicate the use of undeclared transport.

The pair is more financially active. As an individual entrepreneur in the field of advertising, he declared UAH 4.8 million in income. She also received social payments and charitable assistance.

Despite the modest personal declaration, in February 2024 Valery Chikhin was transferred to the position of the first deputy head of the Transcarpathian customs.
