In the Lviv region, customs officers have prevented an attempt to illegally import a luxury car with a luxury car of Lamborghini Gallardo worth more than UAH 2.7 million. The incident was reported by Lviv Customs on May 29.
The 2013 sports car was tried to bring the issue through the checkpoint "Ugrinov -Dolgobychu" . The customs declaration stated that the car was heading from the United States for a 44-year-old resident of Kiev. However, when checking, the driver provided a completely different package of documents-the Lithuanian customs declaration and the freight invoice. These documents were already featured not by an individual, but by the Ukrainian enterprise as a recipient, and the country of origin changed to Lithuania.
In Lithuania documents, the cost of a car was $ 66 005 - that is, more than UAH 2.7 million at the NBU rate. However, customs checks found that these documents contain unreliable information about the sender and the recipient of the vehicle.
In view of the exposed violations, the citizen of Ukraine, who was to receive Lamborghini , drawn up a protocol under Part 1 of Art. 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine - "Actions with concealment from customs control". In addition, the information was transmitted to the Lviv Region Bureau. They already see signs of a criminal offense under Art. 201-4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-illegal movement of vehicles across the customs border.
The attempt to import an elite car under a fictitious scheme once again shows that even against the background of war and crisis, customs frauds do not disappear - only become more sophisticated.
